Shah Zeb Chaudhary

I am a PhD student at Northwestern Univeristy studying international relations. I was a Fulbright Scholar at Georgetown Univeristy.

My research focuses on emotions, affect, international relations, morality, and sovereignty. Specifically, I study how emotions have structured the US-Pakistan relationship post 9/11. I am broadly interested in how we can study political emotions in a global context, especially the affective dimensions of international relations. My work has appeared in the Millennium Journal.

In teaching, my focus is on teaching international relations from a global perspective, especially thinking about how the world looks from the perspective of other countries, and by focusing on political issues. I have taught courses related to international relations, and am currently teaching art students at School of Art Institute of Chicago about Emotions and Global Politics.
